Recovery Is Not Rest

It’s another day without training. But it’s not a rest — it’s recovery.

I just talked to a friend who struggles with rest days. “I can’t accept not doing anything.” And yes, we all know rest days are part of training.

Don’t call it rest. Call it recovery. Because that’s exactly what it is.

And recovery can have a plan, too:

  • A massage
  • High-quality food
  • A salt bath
  • Or simply something kind for your body

In my case today, it’s because of sickness. But it makes me feel less guilty if I treat missed training days as recovery days.

Because the faster you recover, the stronger you come back.
