My last post was on 13.08. No, I didn’t give up my Ironman prep, and I didn’t give up this blog. I was simply 100% overruled by moving.
The new apartment is only 200m away from the old one, but I decided to move everything myself together with my wife. And there was a reason: we had way too much stuff. Way too much.
I threw away around one ton of old things. One ton. 1000 kg! Packed my station wagon 12 times full, which is more than 15m³. I honestly have no idea where all of it came from.
Anyway — since 13/8 we’ve been working 12 hours a day, living on fast food, and just pushing through. Now it’s 95% done, and the keys to the old apartment are handed over.
That means: back to training. Well… not quite. Now I’ve got a sinus infection. That’s pretty disappointing. Three weeks of holidays that I wanted to use for training are wasted, and now I’m sick on top of it. It’s not fun at the moment.
This will definitely impact my autumn marathon. Can I run the full distance at all? Or should I downgrade to a half?
