Another 10K round this morning.
To stay consistent with training, you need routine. One trick that works for me: having fixed running routes.
I’ve got two versions of a 10K, one that’s 16K, and a couple of 20Ks in the rotation. When it’s time to go, there’s no overthinking — I just lace up and head out.
And I know every stone on these paths.
Every slight incline, every bend, every good place to check my form. It might sound boring, but it’s actually freeing.
Because when the route is familiar, I can focus on the run itself — pace, breath, mindset.
Repetition builds rhythm. Rhythm builds consistency. And consistency builds results.
Same route. Same distance. But every time, I come back a little stronger.
Do you have your go-to routes — or do you prefer to discover something new every time you go running?
