It’s Monday morning. It’s raining like hell. I went to sleep too late — and it’s sleep when you get stronger, when you recover. But no excuses. Lace up and run in the rain.
I talk a lot about having a plan, but truth is, right now I’m only training one discipline. I’m on day 63 of the Born to Run 2 running program, and I love it. It gives me structure. If everything goes right, it’ll take me to a marathon in September.
Hopefully the 3-Länder-Marathon — one of my favorite events. Part of the course is on unpaved roads, and your legs feel the difference. I’d love to do it again.
So, running is covered. But I’m training for a triathlon. For an Ironman. And I haven’t even started cycling or swimming yet. That has to change. I’ve got 357 days left.
This week, I’ll work on the full picture.
